Lesson 5: Your Expenses
Day 5: Your Expenses (Fixed vs. Variable) Learn to "triage" your spending. You'll discover the difference between "Fixed" (your "autopilot" costs) and "Variable" (your "flexible" costs) expenses. This is the key to "finding" money for your goals.

Lesson 6: Your Financial Goal
Day 6: What is a "Financial Goal"? Set your "destination." This lesson teaches you how to turn a vague "dream" (like "I want to be better with money") into an actionable S.M.A.R.T. "Care Plan" with a specific deadline.

Lesson 7: Spending Journal
Day 7: The "No-Judgment" Spending Journal Learn the "Golden Rule" of this entire program. This lesson explains why our "Spending Journal" is a 100% "judgment-free" diagnostic tool (like a "food journal"), not a "test" of your morality.

FAQs
-
That's exactly what this course is designed for! Each video is only 3-4 minutes long. The goal is "micro-learning"—one simple concept, one "1-Minute Prescription," and you're done for the day.
-
Do not stress about this. The "44-day" schedule is a guide to keep you on track, not a strict rule. This is a self-paced course. If you get called in for an extra shift, just pick up where you left off. The only "hard" deadlines are to complete each module before our scheduled 1-on-1 sessions.
-
This is a fantastic question. The "Lesson Note PDFs" are 1-page "fill-in-the-blank" worksheets. I highly recommend you print them and fill them out while you watch. This engages "active learning" (seeing, hearing, and writing) and is proven to lock in the concepts. At the end, you'll have your own custom "financial textbook" to keep.
-
It's very simple:
A web browser (to watch the videos).
A PDF reader (to view/print the Lesson Notes).
Access to Google Sheets (for your "Financial Spreadsheet").
-
This spreadsheet is the single most important tool in our program. Think of it as the "Patient Chart" for your money.
It is NOT a blank, scary spreadsheet! I've custom-built it for you with all the "tabs" (Net Worth, Budget, Liabilities) and formulas. Your "1-Minute Prescription" homework each day is simply to add your numbers to this "chart."
-
That's perfectly fine. Some students prefer to "batch" the homework. You can watch the 7 videos in Module 1 and then sit down for 30 minutes to fill out all 7 "prescriptions" in your spreadsheet at once.
The only requirement is that your "Patient Chart" (the spreadsheet) is as complete as possible before our 1-on-1 "Application" session.
-
Breathe! This is a new language. You didn't learn nursing "vitals" in one day, and you won't learn financial "vitals" in one day. The goal of the video course is familiarity, not mastery. My job, as your educator, is to be the expert and guide you during our 1-on-1 sessions.
-
After you sign up, you'll get a link to my private booking calendar. Please schedule:
Session 1 for any time after you've completed Day 7 (Module 1).
Session 2 for any time after you've completed Day 24 (Module 2).
Session 3 for any time after you've completed Day 44 (Module 3).
-
This is the most important question, and I want to be 100% clear: YES.
I am not your parent or your principal. I am your "Financial Educator." My job is to be your "specialist." When you go to the ER, you just state your "chief complaint"; you don't apologize for it.
Your debt, your spending... it is all just data. It's a "vital sign" on a "Patient Chart." It's not "good" or "bad"; it just is. My only job is to "diagnose" that data and build a "Care Plan" to "treat" it. I have seen it all, and I am here to help, not to judge.
-
Please, please try your best to finish! Our 1-on-1 time is your most valuable asset. It is not a "lecture"—it's an "Application Session."
I've designed this so you get the "lecture" (the 3-min videos) on your own time, so we can use our time to build your plan. If you haven't watched the videos, we'll be forced to use our session for "lecturing" instead of "doing," and you won't get nearly as much value.
